Tangram, Inc., an Indianapolis-based non-profit announced today that it will begin offering new services for individuals with autism. Tangram has been serving Hoosiers with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Central Indiana since 1985 and is a United Way of Central Indiana partner agency.
Joining the Tangram team and leading the effort is Kari Sheward. Sheward has previously acted as Clinical Director for several autism clinics across Central Indiana, and is currently co-leading the Launch Into Life program for young adults on the autism spectrum. She earned her Board Certification in Behavior Analysis after obtaining an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Ball State University and a Master’s of Science degree in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue Global.
“I worked many years in the field of mental health as a crisis therapist until my 3-year-old was diagnosed with autism. That was a defining moment in my life. I decided that I needed to be properly educated in order to help my son achieve his full potential. The impact it can make in the lives of individuals and their caregivers is monumental” says Sheward.

Criss expects these services to launch later this year.
