As we reflect on the past year, it’s with a sense of pride and gratitude that we present our annual report. The year has been a testament to Tangram’s resilience, commitment, and unwavering dedication to our mission of serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
On June 8th, community leaders joined Tangram in celebrating the grand opening of its new Connie J. Dillman Center for Autism and Behavioral Health. Located in the Broad Ripple area, the center will provide services to individuals and families and will specialize in serving “transition-aged” youth from 14-24. The center will provide on-site services as well as those in the community (school and home).
Today Tangram, Inc., a local not-for-profit serving Hoosiers with disabilities shared mid-point data from an on-going two year pilot matching their senior leaders and managers with certified professional coaches. The pilot, which began in 2021 was designed to provide additional support to leaders and managers as they navigate a tough employee recruitment and retention landscape in their industry. Tangram is partnering with Intentional Coaching + Consulting on the pilot program.
The early results are promising, seeing an increase in employee retention and decreased turnover. In addition, those participating showed improvement in several leadership domains, including time management, productivity and problem solving. Sam Criss, Tangram CEO stated “This pilot has proven the value of investing in non-profit leaders and the impact on not only those participating, but the entire organization”. The two year pilot will end this Summer, but Tangram plans to continue integrating the lessons learned from the pilot and continue practicing the leadership skills provided by the pilot.

The Neighborhood Assistance Program (“NAP”) is a program of the State of Indiana, created by Indiana Code 6-3.1-9. Donors that receive state tax credits from an eligible non-profit organization may receive a reduction of their Indiana income tax liability valued at 50% of the amount of their donation. That means that if they donate $200 and receive tax credits for their full donation, they can receive a $100 tax credit, which is applied against their Indiana state tax liability (not their federal tax liability). That tax credit is applied when they file their next State tax returns.
